The 'Doing Engineering' website is launched

The new 'Doing Engineering' website draws material from our experimental workshop of the same name to give visitors a chance to join us in exploring engineering. The 'Doing Engineering' workshop brought together scientists, engineers, social scientists, historians, philosophers and policy-makers to discuss and debate the intricacies of engineering. We explored its ambitions, people, work, functions, benefits, troubles and many other things that make engineering whta it is. As part of the workshop, we asked participants to bring one image and explain how it captures their view of engineering. The 'Doing Engineering' website allows visitors to chart their own path through those images and what our participants said, and to explore engineering for themselves.
