Sophie Stone is a PhD student in Science, Technology and Innovation Studies. She has an academic background in biological sciences and science communication, and a previous professional career in scientific publishing and online product development. She is currently working on a PhD project to explore the nature of the relationship between synthetic biology entities and concepts of the human and is affiliated with the Engineering Life project.
